    1. MISSION: Missional Mandate – What are we doing?

Our Missional Mandate comes from the Great Commandment

Matthew 28:18-20 (NIV)

18  Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

19  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

20  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Outline:

    • Authority
    • Activity
    • Ability

DISCIPLE: “A disciple is one who has believed in Jesus Christ and expressed this faith by being baptized. He remains in the fellowship of the believers that he might be taught the truths of the faith (Acts 2:41–47). He is then able to go out and win others and teach them. This was the pattern of the New Testament church.” (2 Tim. 2:1–2).

    1. The Message of the Mission:

    • The Whole World is Guilty of Sin

Romans 3:23 (NIV)

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

    • The Results of Sin/ The Results of salvation

Romans 6:23 (NIV)

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

    • God’s Love for us

Romans 5:6-8 (NIV)

6  You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.

7  Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die.

8  But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

    • A Person Must Pray to Receive Jesus as Lord and Savior

Romans 10:9-10 (NIV)

9  That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

10  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

Sample:  DAY 1

John 14:6 (NIV)

6  Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

God, I know there is only one way to salvation.  Jesus is clear; He is the only hope for a lost and dying world, and that includes __MICHAEL__.  His/Her salvation depends on acknowledging Jesus is who He says He is, and He alone is the source of salvation.  Use people and circumstances in _____MICHAEL’S__ life today to point him/her to the reality of Jesus.  Give me courage and boldness to call ___MICHAEL__to faith in Jesus when the opportunity arises, and help me make it clear there is no other way to be saved.
